BtVS – AU – Killed, Literally – Buffy/Spike


Killed, Literally

Buffy was terrified. Her pulse pounding in her throat, sweat puddling underneath her breasts – her breath coming in small gasps – this was her biggest fear. She was going to die tonight.

Angel was long gone, Xander was useless. Willow was too involved in her own life to even notice that Buffy was frantically going under.

Spike approached, every inch the Master Vampire – the fire and passion in his eyes spelt her demise as surely as if he’d never been chipped. He backed her against a chair, her legs giving way and down she went.

“C’mon, pet. Shakespeare never killed anybody.”

Hee! Very nice. Makes me wonder just what they're doing with Shakespeare...

And thanks for doing Spike/Buffy -- somehow this topic brings out mostly Willow/Giles... (not that I mind, but everybody's got a favorite). Let me know if you like my Spuffy one if you happen across it.

Oh I know what you mean about the pairing books brings up - I had to debate about the Willow one. But if I can find a Spike and Buffy moment... gonna go for it.

As for LKH... don't read her, so I'm afraid the reference in your drabble left me... curious.

I highly recommend the LKH books - lots of fun, although as the series went on, the porn content got so high I was kind of embarassed (PWP disguised as mainstream fic, right there on the library shelf!) My favorite vamp character is the master vamp who has an on again off again romance with the main character, the vampire slayer girl Anita Blake (she kills other stuff too). Anyway, the way LKH tells it, a guy vamp needs a certain amount of blood in his system in order to get an erection -- so a well fed vamp is a happy vamp, a hungry one is just out of luck... Gives a whole new meaning to bitey sex scenes.

Heh - now it makes sense. Like Joss vamps better - as hungry as Spike was... he always had his 'weapon' with him. willshenillshe sent me the first book - still can't get through it. Will keep trying... want to get it.

Spike is (obviously! hee) my favorite of all vamps, ever. Joss rules. But I have enjoyed other vamp books, and am hoping there are more out there, as we are going to be left to our own devices as far as Spike's future. Not that we can't keep it going for a while, mind you...
