kyrieane "...it might be cool to start a meme where you list all the first lines of your fics and then people write drabbles in the comments with the same first line."
If you do this, just leave the drabble in the comments part!
First Lines:
All Roads Lead to Rome - Buffy was getting pissed.
Crazy Eights - It was a dark and stormy night.
Hell Is In the Details - Three weeks ago he’d brought Wolfram & Hart’s amulet to Buffy, intent on wearing it to help in battle.
Innocence Found - Another night, another round of patrolling through yet another cemetery.
Reclamation - The ride home from Los Angeles was considerably more carefree than the ride out from Sunnydale.
The Body - She’d taken to patrolling with Spike most nights – he was her perfect slaying partner.
What Dreams May Bring - He knew she was there as soon as he entered Wolfram & Hart’s massive lobby.
That's six chaptered stories and their first lines. Have at it, if you choose. I'd love you read drabbles from you. **many smooches**

Date: 2004-10-07 12:28 am (UTC)Crazy Eights - It was a dark and stormy night. Well, more like dusk with a little light drizzle thrown in the mix, but overall, it wasn't shaping up to be a good night to slay.
Hell Is In the Details - Three weeks ago he'd brought Wolfram & Hart's amulet to Buffy, intent on wearing it to help in battle. How could he, Angel, know it would be shattered mid-battle, leaving them all covered in the odd, mystical powder that even now burned their skin? He asked himself this question over & over as he studiously avoided looking at the naked Buffy as they showered together.
Innocence Found - Another night, another round of patrolling through yet another cemetery. Why couldn't her Calling include being a 'shopper' for Ralph Lauren? Was that too much to ask?
Reclamation - The ride home from Los Angeles was considerably more carefree than the ride out from Sunnydale. The Sunnydale to LA journey had included a yammering, irritated Spike, a tense, broody Angel, & an unconscious Slayer stretched out on the backseat.
The Body - She'd taken to patrolling with Spike most nights – he was her perfect slaying partner. 'He would also be a perfect sexual partner, if she'd only just pull that stick out'her arse', thought Spike, as he delivered yet another round-house kick to the bevy of fledgling vampires.
What Dreams May Bring - He knew she was there as soon as he entered Wolfram & Hart's massive lobby. Harmony all but bowled him over when the elevator doors opened in her attempt to flee the wrath of the irritated Slayer. "Boss, she's crazy!" babbled the blonde as she frantically jabbed at the elevator buttons. "Takes one to know one", he thought with a laugh. He paused. "Did I just think that?"

It's possible I've mucked the game all up. ...but I figured this'd work, anyway? I've never written a word of fic, but this was fun!
And meanwhile, I plan to read the *true* stories you've written very soon! Um, pleased to meet you? *grins & curtsies*

Get Off My Cloud
Date: 2004-10-07 04:02 am (UTC)He hadn’t given up. He’d planted the beans and climbed the resultant beanstalk.
Now he had the the geese that laid the golden eggs. The laugh would be on Spike. As long as he could outrun the giant.

Date: 2004-10-07 08:31 am (UTC)At least, she thought so. When they had left the crater that used to be Sunnydale, Buffy had left part of herself behind. She just hadn’t realized how important a part it was.
Because she was an idiot.
She smiled at the man whose arms were wrapped around her now, and corrected herself.
A very *lucky* idiot.
Oh yes, even after facing demons worse than the ubervamps, the ride home from Los Angeles was considerably more carefree.
Because, this time, Spike was with her.

Date: 2004-10-07 08:33 am (UTC)To Make It Right (double drabble)
Date: 2004-10-08 08:37 am (UTC)Buffy was getting pissed. She'd just found that Spike had been back for months, and no one had bothered to tell her. Least of all, him.
She drew her fist back in fury, about to let a punch fly.
Until she noticed how Spike's body had tensed, in preparation for the blow. Something cold gripped Buffy's heart as she realized it.
She had been about to hit him in anger. Again. And he was just going to take it. Again.
*No!*
She unclenched her fist, enjoying the confused look on Spike's face when, instead of striking him, her hand found its way to the back of his neck, pulling him down as she smashed her lips to his. Forgetting that they weren't alone, she tried to pour out her grief, anger, and most of all, her *love*, into that kiss. She backed him against a wall while never losing contact, wanting him to believe...
When they finally broke apart, she looked into his blue eyes and understood. Even without him having to say anything, those eyes told her why he had kept his return a secret. So she said the words that would make everything alright.
"I love you, Spike."

Date: 2004-10-14 11:43 pm (UTC)Normal
Date: 2004-10-08 08:58 am (UTC)For years, she had been weighed down by the duty of being the Chosen One. Now she just had her own little corner of the world to protect, as did all the other Slayers. Her old dream of living a normal life had faded away, after that one agonizing year of pretending, after the collapse of Sunnydale.
Because "normal" meant "no bleach blond vampire Spike to spend the rest of her life with."
Normal she was not. And she wouldn't change it for the world.
