My Dad grew up in Kansas City, KS where the Yankees had their farm team (I think that's what it was). Anyway, he saw them play as he grew up so he got to watch the 1927 team with Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, etc.
He may have spent his married years in Detroit but he remained a Yankees fan.
