Was just checking through my friends posts, and noticed ladycat777's post about the cold, so I checked my little WeatherBug icon... and damn, it's freaking cold here, too! No wonder I've been shivering. It's FOURTEEN degrees!!!!

God forbid I should complain to any of my family - I get "What did you expect when you moved to Vermont, asshole!" Nice family, right? **sheesh**

This damned place came with an electric stove - first time I've ever had to use one. HATE it. And first time in 20 years that I've had to pay for electricity, as well as heating oil.

Sixteen degrees here. I didn't want to get out of bed, even though I was wide awake and needed to (TMI).

My furnace is programmed to come on at 8 a.m. I'm counting the minutes...

I haven't checked the temperature here yet in bright, sunny Halifax, but I know it must be cold ~ I have the heat jacked high in my apt (free heat ~ WOOHOO!) and I'm still chilled.

Green with freaking envy - free heat! Damn, I sooo took that for granted for the past 20 some-odd years.

Enjoy your toastiness, while I debate the merits of removing my clothing to bathe... or stinking out the kitties. **sighs** Always seems to be a breeze in my bathroom - even though there are no windows, and it's in the middle of the house - no outer walls. Go fig!

Toastiness will not last ~ going out into the cold soon. Free heat is a must here in Hfx ~ being by the water in fall and winter makes for lots of chilly, damp days.

I'll check in later ~ hot showers always make me feel more snuggly.
